Here are a few items that should be taken care of to help facilitate an expeditious marine survey.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make arrangements with the boat&#8217;s owner to gain access to the vessel.<\/li>\n<li>The vessel should be presented in a clean and tidy manner.<\/li>\n<li>Paperwork and miscellaneous gear should be readily available.<\/li>\n<li>If a bottom inspection is being conducted, haul-out should be arranged and completed.<\/li>\n<li>If access to areas is required beyond what is visible, qualified personnel should be hired to make those areas accessible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Capt. Jenkins works and protects the interest of the party who retains said surveyor. In the case of a pre-purchase survey, this is the buyer of the vessel. In the case of a valuation, insurance or damage survey, this is the owner of the vessel.<\/p>\n<h2>Yacht Survey and Boat Survey Rates<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cost of a survey is charged based on several factors from the length of the vessel, to location, size and type of the vessel. Also the type of service being performed is a consideration.
